Graduate/Doctoral Student Admission Requirements

You can pay your application fee on ApplyTexas, or through RamPort, our portal, upon receiving your login information.
Submit your transcript(s) from your undergraduate institution(s) and any supporting documents.

With the exception of the centralized application for Athletic Training (ATCAS), Nursing (NursingCAS), Physical Therapy (PTCAS), and Master/Doctoral Social Work (InPlace) programs.

Unofficial copies of transcripts and test scores are required for application evaluation purposes, unless you attended Angelo State for your undergraduate degree. If you’re admitted, you will be required to submit official transcripts and test scores. Please do not send official transcripts until you have received a notice of acceptance from Angelo State University. All transcripts become the property of Angelo State University once submitted.

Please be aware that the overall GPA as posted to the transcript from the baccalaureate degree-awarding institution will be applied.

In addition to transcripts and test scores, most of our graduate programs require supplemental materials for admission review. These materials may include, but are not limited to, a statement of purpose, letters of recommendation and/or writing samples.

Residency Information

Your residency classification is initially based on the information provided on your ApplyTexas application.

International Graduate Students

In addition to meeting regular admission requirements for your degree program, there are additional application requirements before we can issue a Form I-20 Certificate for Eligibility.

Mandatory, non-refundable $50 application fee (international money order payable in U.S. dollars).
Degrees earned at a foreign institution must be evaluated by an official foreign transcript evaluator. The preferred service is Foreign Credential Services of America, but any company in the United States is acceptable. Evaluations must be completed in English and include semester credit hours and letter grades. The approximate cost is U.S. $175 for a full evaluation. All transcripts become the property of Angelo State University once submitted and cannot be returned to applicants.
An evaluation is not required if your degree was earned at a U.S. institution. You may submit an unofficial transcript via the Graduate Studies Document Submission form.

All international applicants must provide proof of English proficiency before their application can be considered for admission. Only your most recent measure of English proficiency is considered for admission purposes. This test is waived only for graduates of U.S. universities or universities in English proficiency-exempt countries. If you believe you may be exempt, please complete this form.

You may submit one of the following English proficiency measures:

IBT TOEFL	79 (with a minimum of 20 on each of the four sections)

You may provide proof of financial support as part of your application, or you may provide proof upon learning of your admission decision. The follow documents are necessary for application evaluation purposes:

Supplemental Information Form provides additional information about your citizenship.
ASU Official Financial Statement - you and your sponsor must complete this form, guaranteeing your financial support while you are in the United States and submit it to the Center for International Studies at cis@lovely-face.net.
Original Bank Statement or Letter with amounts in U.S. dollars with the original signature. Submit to the Center for International Studies at cis@lovely-face.net.
